Traci Davis and Vicki Holleman-Perez have written a book that covers most of a mother’s questions. The Momma Guide covers assisting with health problems, depression, divorce, death, and a variety of things you should know about. Self- help for moms and dads!! Very educational, informational and inspirational! This book focuses in on what moms should do in virtually any situation. It is a must read that can be a big help in your day-to-day life. Use it as a reference when a subject comes up. Sort of like a Desk Reference for Moms.
I rarely do book reviews, if any. It’s because i am so particular on what catches my attention. (Exception- The Twilight Series LOL) I have to admit …. i like this book! The reason i liked it most was because Traci & Vicki did not stick to the “norm”. There are such great chapters for not only mommies like you and me, but also, Adoptive Moms, Single Moms, Distant Moms, Foster Moms. All Moms!
They go on to talk about head lice, the birds & bees, colds and what really causes them, etc. Its amazing how they put it into a readable format. By readable i mean, plain jane, look heres the problem heres your answer, duh type of talk. I enjoyed The Momma Guide, and sure wish i would have had this for my 1st baby. It would have stopped alot of my “1st time parent” anxiety. Heck i JUST went through the lice ordeal right before Christmas and i freaked out as if one of my children were in immediate danger. I hid in shame LOL !
Go out and buy The Momma Guide for your pregnant girlfriends and yourself. You will enjoy it!
