We all need more exercise!   Leave a comment

Do you know exercise can help with many ailments that we take medications for? Plain ol’ exercise – we ALL need it! Any type will do, just get to moving. Most of us at least have a pair of sneakers we can strap on and go for a walk 5 to 10 min. is better then nothing, it is a place to start. A lot of us out there have bought all, some or many DVD’s, equipment, or program from TV or magazine, with the hopes “This time it will work.” Well, it will, if you get up and do it! You do not need to buy anything new, just bust out the sneakers or take the clothes off the treadmill or bowflex (they are not the laundry hamper) and get to working that body. It might not be easy, but your mind will be clearer, your heart stronger, your lungs better and best of all your clothes looser. Just overall better health – whether you are over weight or not you need exercise. Even the thinnest people out there need to get the heart pumpin. But if you are packing extra in the trunk, exercise is still the best way to take it off. Not only can exercise help with weight loss and control it can promote better sleep, by working your body during the day. Need to blow off some steam after a stressful day? A workout at the gym or a brisk 30-minute walk can help you calm down. Regular exercise can help you prevent or manage high blood pressure and help with cholesterol as well. Exercise will also reduce the risk of developing colon cancer and breast cancer, stave off developing diabetes. It can help build and maintain healthy muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments . Increasing muscular strength can make chores and other daily activities easier and less strenuous on you. Physical activity improves flexibility and range of motion of joints. By helping flexibility you will see less back pain and other joint stiffness and pain. Adding activity to your life can help combat or ward off depression and anxiety and just an overall improvement of psychological well-being. Regular physical activity can improve your mood and the way you feel about yourself. Researchers also have found that exercise is likely to help you to better manage stress. You will even be surprised how much energy you will have by adding exercise to your life style you will get enhancement in your work, romance, home and recreation. All this will intern help you live a longer more productive happy life. With the rising cost of fuel exercise can also save money by walking to work or the store. You add eating clean or healthier and it will even enhance the efforts of your exercise even more. Eating clean is easier then you think. You can eat anything that was made in nature not in a lab. Including meat, whole grains, nuts, fruit and veggies. If you do eat packaged foods read the labels and stay away from “High Fructose corn Syrup” and “partially hydrogenated oils” these are diet killers. Have one day you “cheat” that way you do not feel deprived. Even small amounts of exercise and slight changes in the diet you can see improvement in your life. Any change is better then continuing down the road you are on of an unhealthy life. Those out there that already practice a healthy life WAY TO GO and keep it up!
